Just a few of the 18 Alaska State record breaking giant vegetables grown by John Evans and his family using Bountea compost tea.

Artichoke (cynara scolymus) 1997 Alaska State Fair Record.

Our daughter, Lauren’s prize Green Cabbage! She won the state record in 1998, Junior Division with this beauty! Growing with Bountea is a fun and rewarding family project.

Green Cabbage (brassica oleracea capitata) 76.00 lb 1998

(Photo: Our daughter, Lauren, dwarfed by cabbage!)

A Zucchini (Marrow) (cucurbita) 59.00 lb., 1998 State record. Zucchini are very easy to grow and require rich soil and plenty of water. We nicknamed this one ‘BABY’ and put a blanket on it at night so it would not get chilled!

In this picture (right), we have put a large cucumber on top of the zucchini to show just how big it is.

John and Mary world-record certificates, the zucchini got a Alaska State Record at the fair in 1999 at 29.6495 lbs.
